Mincha is a village that is located in the fourth region of
Coquimbo in the Choapa province, is located on the shore North of the river
Choapa.
Geographically the Mincha village is located on the northern shore of
the Choapa River, 15 kms. the Panamerican Highway North from Huentelauquén
route.
Mincha name is the derivation of
"minche", which means "down", which expresses well the
location in mapudungun, "under the Hill", between the Hill and the
Choapa River.
Mincha has the privilege to be a cozy village where his
people are good and beautifull.
Mincha is characterized by its rich preparations gourmet
goat cheese and “cazuela”. It also has a small brewery called Finka.
In this town is where I was born, today my
father lives there, he is a farmer and also is dedicated to caring for animals
such as goats, horses and donkeys.
