English language

Hi everybody! finally it’s oveeeeer!

The last blog J I’m so happy for this because mean that the semester it’s over too.
Well I like English but I think that have better way to teach this because I don’t have much vocabulary, are many words that I don’t know and I have to search in the dictionary. Also I don’t have very clear some rulers about this language. But I have to say that the blog help me to improve some things, learn some words and their verbal times.

I think that the things that I need to improve just can improve with practice, study and read.
I think that the blog is a good idea because it’s a tool that help you with different aspects. I like use the blog, it’s funny and do more interactive the class.

I think that the English must be training everyday and the teacher is very very important because if the teacher is not good the students don’t understand well. One time I had a bad teacher (at the university) and she don’t explained  well and don’t helped  her students, she unmotivated  us and for that I don’t liked  go to the class. Now I reconcile with the English and I like it again.

In my normal life (outside the English class) I don’t use much the English, just when I listen some song or when I watch a movie. Now I start to read  things in English like documents and works because I have study for the finally test and the teachers send us things in English
I hope that the English class help me to understand this documents.

Changes to my study programme

Hello again had long without writing on my blog.
Today talk them about changes that I would like to ask the curriculum of career.
One of the things that I do not like the race is that in the first year subjects are annual that is to say last 10 months each course, which is a long time and in the event that you do not do well you fall behind a year. Another thing that I don't like the race is the modality that have some teachers to assess work, tests and practical reports. I sometimes think that only evaluate well the students who fall well hahaha.
Another thing that would also change is food in the field trips because sometimes it is bad or too little and besides that there's only mats to sleep and one goes cold.

What would add you to the infrastructure that has the faculty, is incorporating more studies rooms, a kiosk of food which can be paid with JUANEB in addition to improving the quality of the computers that we have. One of thing which me bothers me or I dislike is that practices are in summer or winter vacation, because we never have time to rest and less to schedule our vacation. And sometimes to be 15 days with your fellow living in a same block or cabins runs out.  And finally, I think that to improve the faculty we need to add more rooms jajajaaja and also which are implemented approach bus from my house to the classroom jejejeje

bye bye!!

My experience making the herbarium

Hi, guys!! I hope your weekend has been incredible!

Today to talk about how my experience was making the Herbarium.

The truth the Herbarium did it the year 2012, long long time ago in that moment the teacher asked us to deliver a herbarium with 15 exotic species 15 native species but it asked certain requirements such as: it could not collect samples from the campus" Antumapu"seams of samples should also be very orderly, species collected in spring were with flowers and if any had fruit, with its respective fruit.

I really didn't know where out species so we gather a group of friends and went to the cerro San Cristobal there we collect the most species but the bad thing was that even we didn't recognize the species.

To be able to recognize them please help our oldest fellow of the University, and some professors of the faculty. We much delay to complete, approximately 3 months, since after collecting the species you have to make a special drying where the species must be wrapped in newspaper and also put in a pressing machine  so that in the future not be you loss, when already they are dry.

I proceeded to recognize the species and then the last step is to boil the species in a carton and glue a sheet indicating the name of the place where it was collected, the species name and the person who collected it.

Actually for me was not a very pleasant experience, since it is much time dedicated to present each species in good condition and hate sew plant by plant, but must rescue the good and that you helped me lot to learn to recognize species both native as exotic  that exist in our country I hope not having bored.

 Eugenia hugs!

Postgraduate Studies.

Hi, guys! It's Friday! I hope you had a good week.
Today talk them about graduate University that I would like to study in the future.  First I will say that I have no intentions to live in Santiago after the end of my career, my intentions are to go to Brazil to live and study something related to the vegetation present in the Amazon, basically to studying something that has relationship with the conservation of the native forests of the country since it is being threatened by mining, ranching and the construction of hydroelectric power plants and transportation routes.
I'd like to have a schedule that is flexible with the application you are working, because my idea is to go to live alone and "try your luck", and another thing that I would love would be that the University is close to the place where you live. Studying a postgraduate course can be very expensive, so I want to apply for a scholarship you subsidize my studies either the workplace I facilitate and provide me the opportunity to continue studying.
The purpose of studying a master's degree is to develop more as a professional, as well as improve myself on the subject, know the differences in species of trees that exist on that side of the world in addition to competition, allowing me to work and earn enough money to settle in the country. The only thing that would prevent me or would be a limiting factor is the risk which means to study in another country, and more Brazil which is a vast country with a culture and a different language.

Hi everyone:

I think that all the things that we do in the present are essential for our future. So in this post I will talk about the expectation that I have about my future.

So for this, in the future I would like have a job related with the conservation and the management of the nature.
For example in a forest corporation like CONAF or making studies about different topics like the impacts of the humans in the ecosystem, the characterization of some ecosystem or helping to prevent the extinction of some endangered species.

Choosing a work I would consider different aspect like the atmosphere in the work, the kind of persons with I will work and the importance of the work that I will make.
In this work I hope to travel around Chile, knowing the different forests of Chile, I don't care much money which could win but the experience which means to learn more about the ecology of our country.

My favorite food

Hello from new today to talk about my food favorite:

I love to eat that is difficult is my favorite food, but today talk them about food that I prefer more among many, that is the beef cazuela.
The Cazuela is originally from the central zone of Chile, having its origins in the time of the conquest Spanish, here is the mix of ingredients; on the one hand those who are native to our land as the pumpkin, potato and beef and veal, and on the other hand, the ingredients of the old continent as wheat and various spices. The result: a dish that is cooked slow and true, represents part of our history and cultural interbreeding.
This dish brings me very memories of my grandmother, because it is very rich in addition that it cooks it with love, this dish always thing like when it is too cold or winter evenings.

Love to cook this dish because this way I can like me, is a bit complex and you need a bit of time but the good thing is that the results are delicious.

Darwin's Fox.

Today, I will talk about the Darwin's Fox, I found this article online and I found this interesting.
Here is the link if you want to have a look: http://www.scielo.cl/pdf/amv/v44n1/art14.pdf

The Darwin’s fox, Pseudalopex fulvipes, is recognized as one of the species in danger of extinction in the South of Chile.
It is also known as the Zorro Chilote or Zorro de Darwin. This specie lives on Chiloé Island and Nahuelbuta National Park.

It is a small animal; this specie is between 2.5 and 4 kilograms. Its body is dark gray and black with red spots in the ears and on his paws.

The foxes hunt for mammals, reptiles, beetles, and invertebrates, birds and amphibians. Although they also consume fruits of Valdivian forests.
There are only 250 Darwin's foxes on Chiloé Island and they are listed as critically in danger by the "World Conservation Union", mainly because of attacks by dogs, and persecutions by people who consider the foxes as threats for their chickens, this is also a potential problem.
I like this topic because it is very important to inform about species native to Chile.
In my opinion the Animal Protection is very important to our environment, for example, the Darwin's fox is very important to the forests of southern Chile; There are many ecological benefits that this specie provide, such as pest control and seed dispersa

I really liked this activity because I used to write a lot on blogs, I used to write a lot of poetry and tales that I made up, but I never showed them to anyone. I liked writing stories of action, too.
I remember that my first blog was at age 12. It was gross. That I wrote in "strange language" with too many uncommon acronyms. For example, I used "xk???" for "¿Por qué?", or "k kontai?" for "¿Qué cuentas?... Yes, this was terrible.
